I work at one of the top 10 hospitals in the country and I was let go after 25 years of service and being a LPN 5years of that . I was placed in an extened care faculity ( nursing home) . I was told that I could come back into the hospital after I achieve my RN . Now, that was a slap in the face.
LPN are not appreciated at all in the hospitals and I wish that would chance. I only will get salary increase when housekeeping get one , not when the nursing staff (RNs) get one. It is something else . I had to pass a board test just like they did.

I cause LPN stands for Liscense Pretending to be a Nurse .
